The Anton Ulrich, Duke of Brunswick Museum holds one of the most important collections of ancient art in Northern Germany. The competition design provides an extension similar to an orangery. It keeps the sightlines to the city and fits discreetly in between the historical main building and the park. There are rooms for management and museum education in the transparent new building. The workshops and magazines are accomodated in the basement and the souterrain. The attractively situated cafeteria serves as interface of the surrounding landscape park of the early 19th century.
